The Dagupan city government hosted the 2nd regular monthly meeting of the Council of Personnel Officers, Western Pangasinan Chapter on February 28 at the City Museum.
The event gathered all human resource management executives, administrative officers and personnel designates from different government agencies covering 33 municipalities and three cities in Western Pangasinan.
In his remarks, city administrator Raffy Baraan thanked the council for its continued initiative in improving human resource services even as he recognized its crucial role in producing efficient and productive workforce in the government. He further said that their performance reflects the government’s concern of providing employment to its constituencies.
Council president Flor L.. Sison and John C. Rivera, Director II of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Provincial Field Office, served as resource persons during the event.
One of the highlights of the meeting is the CSC’s search for outstanding public officials and employees this year.
The search aims to recognize and reward the commendable men and women in public service who have rendered exceptional contributions and achievements and shown exemplary conduct and ethical behavior in the delivery of public service.
It was learned that the council is also set to stage its regional convention in Baguio City from March 14 to 16.
The 3rd regular monthly meeting of the council will be on April 25 at Sual, Pangasinan. (CIO/Leziel T. Cayabyab)
